Simple Guide to Grow and care Anthurium Plant

Anthurium
plant is an indoor plant, you can place it near the windows or in indoor
garden, were the plant get filtered sunlight, it can be easily grown by
cuttings propagations or by division process. If you have tried growing
anthurium plant but failed, do not worry here is a simple guide to grow
anthurium plant.

 Materials
for growing it-
Use sharp cutter or scissor and
a pot which have at least 2 to 3 drainage hole and fill it with well-draining
potting mix and a healthy Anthurium plant to take a cuttings

 Choosing
Anthurium stem-
Choose the healthy stem on
Anthurium plant to take a cutting, take a cutting at least 5 to 6 inch long and
with at least 2 to 3 nodes, make sure the stem is free from any diseases.

 Take
the cuttings-
Use sharp cutter or scissor to
cut it, take the selected stem from the Anthurium plant and cut it, make sure
you take a clean cut just near the nodes.

 Clean
the cuttings-
After taking cuttings remove the
flower and the rotten parts from the cuttings.

 Root
hormone-
Dip into a rooting hormone as it
will help the stem cuttings to establish the roots faster.

 Plant
it
-Take a pot with a least 2 to 3
drainage holes on it and fill it with well-draining potting mix like sand mix
with garden soil or cocopeat mix with garden soil, before planting make hole in
the centre of the soil using pencil or your finger, then plant it in the hole
you made, gently firm the soil around the cuttings to keep the cuttings in
place.

 Watering-
After planting water it thoroughly till the water
drained out from the bottom of the pot, from next check the soil before
watering it, stick your finger into the top inch of the soil if it is dry water,
it if it is wet do not water it.

 Placing
it-
Place the plant in warm bright
light location where its gats filtered sunlight, avoid direct sunlight it can
dry out the stem.

 New
growth-
Usually it takes 3 to 4 weeks to
grow well, check if you see new growth emerging from the cuttings, it indicates
the roots are forming, continue the same care process to grow a healthy plant.

 Transplanting
the cuttings-
After the cuttings have
developed the roots and healthy growth you can repot it to the larger pot, use
a well-draining potting mix, after repotting use the same care process as
before.

anthurium from cuttings is easy to get a 99% success rate with a bit of care.
