1. Choose the Healthy cuttings Take
a healthy and mature stem bougainvillea cutting that you have, using sharp
knife or cutter, cut the cuttings 7 to 9 inch and have several nodes. Nodes
contains cell they will develop into the roots.

2. How to prepare the cuttings- Remove all some extra leaves or branches
using sharp knife or cutter, Cut the stem in 45-degree angle near the nodes.

3. Rooting hormone Use
root hormone to get the maximum success rate, put the root hormone powder in
cut end of each stem it can help to stimulate root development faster and
increase the success rate of propagation.

4. Planting- Use a pot with many drainages hole fill with
well-draining potting mix, use pencil or finger to make a hole in the centre of
the soil, next gently put the end of the cuttings in to the soil.

5. Watering- After planting give lots of water until water
comes out from the bottoms of the pots, from next check the soil using your
finger if it is dry water it, if it is wet do not water it, over watering can
lead the cuttings to rot.

6. Write place to keep it– Place it in indirect sunlight in bright light
location, direct sunlight can cause the cuttings to dry out.

7. Successfully growth- Usually it takes 5 to 6 weeks to grow well,
but depending on the environment it may take longer.

8. Repotting- After getting the successful result, use a
bigger pot or container fill with garden soil and compost but it should be well
drained potting’s mix, plant it and after planting place it in the sunny
location.
