Beautiful
hydrangea flowers are available in many varieties of colours, including pink,
blue, and white. It is true that cuttings of hydrangea plants can be used to
grow new ones. It is similar like creating a new garden companion! Let us take
it step-by-step and learn how to do it.

 Step
1- Select the Correct Stem
– 
Choose
a healthy stem on the grown up and healthy hydrangea plant. It should have some
leaves on it and be around 6 inches in length.

 

Step
3- How to cut the stem- 
Cut
the hydrangea plant’s stem carefully with the pruners or scissors. Ensure that
the cut is made diagonally.

 Step
4- Remove the leaves- 
Remove
the lowermost leaves off the stem. At the top, leave a few leaves. This will
help the plant in concentrating on developing roots.

 

Step
5-Plant the stem- 
Insert
the stem into the well-drained potting mix. Using your finger, make a little
hole first. After that, carefully insert the stem and fill it with the same
potting mix.

Step 6: Give the Plant Water– After
planting water, it thoroughly till the water drained out from the bottom. From
next check it before watering it, stick your finger to the top inch of the soil
if it is dry water it, if it is not then do not

 Step
7: Place a plastic cover on its- 
Cover
the pot with the clear plastic bag. This will enable the cutting to develop in
a warm, humid environment.

Step 8: Watch and Wait– All
that is left to do is wait! Place the pot in a warm area that receives some but
not much sunlight. Every few days, check to make sure the soil is still damp.
Give it a bit extra water if it is not.

Step9: Set Your New Hydrangea in Place– In
a few weeks, roots will begin to emerge from the stem. You can plant your newly
acquired hydrangea straight into the garden or in a larger pot once the roots
are around one inch long!
